Sanitaire Bio Clear 10X

Sanitaire Bio Clear 10X is a stable liquid containing selected
microorganisms and enzymes, that efficiently reduce the waste
typically evacuated into the drainage systems of kitchens and
other catering and food processing units. Sanitaire Bio Clear
10X is suitable for use in all types of drains, sinks and small bore
pipes, as well as for maintaining septic tanks, grease traps,
septic tanks and complete sewerage systems.

Sanitaire Bio Clear 10X has a two stage operation. When
activated with water, the ‘free’ enzymes quickly break down
the waste into smaller pieces, which are more accessible to the
microorganisms. This initial degradation immediately improves
the drain flow rates and reduces odours. It also enables the
various strains of microorganisms in Sanitaire Bio Clear 10X to
quickly continue the degrading process, further reducing the
smaller particles of solid waste (such as fat, paper, and
vegetable trimmings) into liquids and gases.

pDCB is a crystallised gas and only offers masking smell and some insect repellent properties. pDCB provides no cleaning efficacy at all. Some people are under the impression because pDCB blocks get smaller in the urinal that they dissolve in water. This is not so. pDCB returns to its gaseous state while ‘dissolving’ into the air when immersed in water it remains static.

Unfortunately and because of this, when pDCB blocks get small enough to drop through urinal grating they lodge in the trap and cause blockages. The various pDCB alternatives are usually made from surfactants so they provide some cleaning efficacy. These blocks are also water soluble, so they totally dissolve and cannot contribute to blocked pipes.
